💩 Scoop It Up! Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Because poop happens. Questions happen. We’ve got answers.
1
Do you scoop during the winter?
Yep! Dog poop doesn’t hibernate, and neither do we.
We provide service year-round as long as it’s safe to do so. If poop is visible and accessible, we’ll scoop it. If it’s buried under snow or frozen solid, we’ll grab what we can and return for the rest once Mother Nature cooperates.
2
What if poop is frozen or buried under snow?
Frozen poop is tough stuff — we’re scoopers, not ice miners.
-
We remove what’s visible and safely accessible
-
Frozen or buried waste will be picked up once conditions improve
-
Regular winter service helps prevent the dreaded Spring Poop Explosion
3
What happens during snowstorms or icy conditions?
Safety comes first — slipping for poop is not in our job description.
If weather conditions are unsafe:
-
Service may be delayed or rescheduled
-
We’ll return on your next scheduled visit when possible
4
What do I need to do to make sure you can access my yard?
Help us help you!
Please ensure:
-
Gates open and close properly
-
Snow and ice are cleared where possible
-
Dogs are secured indoors during service
If we can’t safely access your yard due to snow, ice, locked gates, or obstacles, the visit may be skipped.
5
How does billing work?
All recurring services are billed monthly upfront.
-
Billing continues year-round (including winter)
-
We do not bill per scoop or per visit
-
This keeps pricing fair, predictable, and poop under control
6
Can I pause or skip service?
Yes — with a little planning.
-
Let us know at least 24 before your scheduled service day
-
Long pauses may result in a initial cleanup fee due to buildup
What if I’m on vacation?
-
Same thing. If your dog won’t be using the yard, tell us ahead of time and we’ll note it.
-
If your dog is still using the yard (pet sitter, family, etc.), service and billing continue as usual so we can maintain your yard to avoid charging you a restart fee!
7
Do You Scoop on Holidays?
We do our best to keep things running smoothly year-round, but on major holidays, we reserve the right to pause or adjust scheduled cleans.
If that happens:
-
We will scoop at your next scheduled scoop day
